This pivotal role involves developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy to position data as a trusted, strategic asset that fuels business transformation, innovation, and competitive advantage.Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, you will design and implement a robust data governance framework to ensure high-quality, accessible, and compliant data. You'll lead efforts to embed a strong data culture, facilitating self-service analytics and enabling AI-driven decision-making across the organisation.Key Responsibilities IncludeDeveloping and driving the data strategy aligning with business goals and regulatory standards.Establishing and maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.Monitoring data quality metrics and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR.Leading data ownership and stewardship models to clarify roles and responsibilities.Managing data cataloguing, metadata management, and data lineage tools.Working closely with Data & Analytics teams to govern data assets through their lifecycle.Driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks through effective data management.Supporting business units in implementing cost-effective data governance solutions.About You7+ years' experience in data governance, strategy, or related roles within large organisations.Relevant degree in Business, IT, Computer Science or related field; certifications such as DAMA CDMP, DCAM, or Collibra Ranger are advantageous.Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.Proficiency with data management tools like Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and data risk management.Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.Join this forward-thinking organisation's journey to leverage data as a key strategic asset driving their future success.
