Project Engineer Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, specifying and commissioning new and renovated process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and specify cGMP process equipment, piping, and/or controls
* Manage small-to-mid-sized projects related to process equipment and manufacturing
* Assist in the design review, site acceptance, and installation of equipment
* Prepare piping and instrumentation drawings and other related drawings
* Develop Process Flow Diagrams for manufacturing processes
* Support the QA Validation department by preparing design documents and assisting in protocol execution
* Assist in investigating process equipment, utility systems, and control system anomalies, as well as safety incidents
* Implement corrective/preventative actions for existing equipment and manufacturing processes
* Prepare engineering evaluations and test plans, and execute modification change control documentation
* Supervise mechanical, electrical, and automation contractors as needed
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent technical and analytical skills, strong problem-solving and continuous improvement abilities, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
A Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process/Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required, with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Direct experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment is preferred.
