Shift Technician (Manufacturing) We are recruiting aShift Technician on behalf of our client, a manufacturing group based in Co. Kildare. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically skilled individual with a background in high-volume manufacturing to join a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Shift Supervisor to ensure smooth operations, machine performance and continuous improvement across the site. Location:Leixlip, Co. Kildare Salary:€40,000 €55,000 DOE (including shift & Sunday premiums) Shift Pattern: Four-cycle shifts (15 shifts per month, mix of days & nights, 12-hour shifts) Key Responsibilities: Support Shift Supervisors with machine start-ups, shutdowns and troubleshooting to maximise up-time. Carry out regular servicing and technical tasks to maintain peak machine and production performance. Provide cover for the Shift Supervisor when required. Contribute to continuous improvement projects and support new product introductions. Uphold strict safety and housekeeping standards, ensuring all equipment and work areas are maintained to the highest level. Ensure compliance with Quality, GMP and company policies. Assist with onboarding and training new employees. Communicate effectively across teams and departments to resolve issues quickly. Qualifications & Experience: A degree in a related field is required. Previous experience in a similar position is required. Knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems in high-volume manufacturing; hold a relevant qualification in one of those disciplines and/or have additional specialised training and industrial experience. Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills. Flexibility is required due to shift schedules. Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
