The Role
We are seeking Field Officers to join our team in Mullingar and Tullamore – This is a dynamic role suited to someone who is energetic, organised, and passionate about working with young people in an international environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Covering front-of-house duties and general administration
* Welcoming and briefing student groups on arrival
* Communicating academy rules, timetables, and key information to groups
* Assisting students and group leaders with daily queries or issues
* Guiding groups to their daily activities and excursions
* Matching students to suitable host families based on their needs
* Liaising with host families and addressing logistical issues as they arise
* Monitoring and communicating with groups via WhatsApp
* Maintaining attendance records and reporting absences or disciplinary issues
* Responding to teacher absences and supporting lesson continuity
* Ensuring the academy is kept in a presentable and welcoming condition
* Reporting issues to line managers and supporting with ad-hoc tasks as required
About You
This role would suit a friendly, energetic, and charismatic person who enjoys working with young people and can represent Lakeland Language Centre in a professional manner.
Essential skills and qualities:
* Fluent English (Spanish desirable but not essential)
* Computer literate (Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Quick-thinking, creative, and proactive problem solver
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full clean driving license (Desirable but not essential)
