The Company
Monroe's is one of Galway's best-known pubs with a vibrant music scene and large customer base. There are seeking an experienced hospitality full time professional who can oversee the current business while also focusing on new directions and areas of interest.
Responsibilities
· Become a fully-fledged member of management who can coordinate and assist in the many different areas of the business
· Oversee the day to day running of the business alongside management, and create new policies and practices where required
· Evaluate and adapt the current business procedures to reach best practice
· Hiring and training and upskilling staff
· Ad hoc management duties where required rostering, ordering stock, HR duties etc
· Any other ancillary duties supplementary to running the business
Requirements
· Strong hospitality background with 1-2 years previous experience in similar role
· Self-directed and motivated
· Keen eye on the wider hospitality environment and be able to forecast, direct and move with trends and business flows
· Hands on team player who has the ability to assess the business, implement procedures where required and manage in practice
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
