AHP Frailty at the Front Door

2 x 37 Hr Physiotherapy Posts Available

We are delighted to share this exciting new opportunity for Physiotherapy staff to join us to continue to develop our AHP front door frailty service within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

Fully supported by a team of Advance Practitioner AHPs, these posts will work across the interface between acute and community settings to support those patients identified with frailty to maximise their independence and wellbeing within their local communities, deliver early intervention to support timely discharge and to prevent avoidable hospital admission.

Applications are welcomed from enthusiastic and innovative Physiotherapists with an interest in service development within a fast paced and changing health and social care system. You should be forward thinking and proactive with excellent organisational, clinical and communication skills.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with the MDT throughout Raigmore, as well as the community integrated teams, to ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

The post is full time and the service will deliver 12 hour day shifts over 7 days although part time, job share and flexible working requests will be considered.

Joining our service offers candidates the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team. Formal and informal supervision is always available and we actively encourage individual development through performance development review and plans and CPD activity.

The Front Door Frailty service within Raigmore Hospital is a new rotation which will include 12-hour shifts and weekend cover for Physiotherapy staff. This role will form part of 4-8 monthly existing band 5 acute and community physiotherapy rotations, which currently includes a mixture of rotations across Inverness and Mid Ross Area, acute and community locations. The rotations included and length of rotations may be subject to change, depending on service need, but will all be within a 30 mile radius of Inverness area. This post will also be required to be part of physiotherapy on call acute respiratory rota, where training and support will be provided.

Additional Information For Candidates

Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
