They offer the chance to work on large-scale digital transformation programmes where delivery quality, client impact and technical excellence really matter.I’m working on an excellent opportunity for an experienced Software Delivery Manager who enjoys leading complex software projects, working closely with clients, and bringing structure to delivery across hybrid teams.This position would suit someone who brings a strong mix of three key areas:A technical background or strong understanding of software engineeringAgile delivery experience, with the flexibility to use waterfall approaches where neededThe ideal person will have delivered software projects at scale, worked with cross-functional teams, and be comfortable managing delivery across multiple workstreams. You will be client-facing, so strong stakeholder management and the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders will be important. Depending on the project, the role could involve managing teams of 20–30 people across single or multiple projects, including internal delivery teams and, in some cases, client-side resources.You will be involved in:Leading software delivery across complex projects or programmesManaging delivery teams across agile and hybrid environmentsWorking closely with clients and senior stakeholdersOverseeing governance, reporting, risks, budgets and resourcingSupporting delivery quality and continuous improvementCollaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered effectivelyHelping teams stay focused, organised and moving in the right directionThe ideal background:10+ years in software delivery or programme deliveryExperience managing large-scale technology projectsA good understanding of modern software engineering practicesAgile delivery experience, with a pragmatic approach to methodologyStrong project management and stakeholder management skillsExperience managing hybrid or multi-disciplinary teamsConsulting or management consultancy experience would be a strong advantageProduct delivery experience would also be very relevantThis role would suit someone who enjoys being close to delivery, close to the client, and close enough to the technology to understand what is happening.
