Maintenance Engineer – Longford | 4-Cycle Shift | PermanentWhat you need to knowOur client, a Longford-based manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role will be responsible for mechanical maintenance across production lines, ensuring optimum equipment performance and operational efficiency. This is a 4-cycle shift pattern covering day and night shifts.Key Responsibilities:Respond to mechanical issues on production lines, including conveyors, packaging systems, gearboxes, and hydraulics.Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and production efficiency.Monitor machine performance, identifying issues and implementing timely resolutions.Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and complete PMs in adherence to schedule.Collaborate with Production Supervisors and Managers during handovers, briefings, and issue resolution.Requirements:Minimum Level 6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, or a related discipline.Experience in high-speed manufacturing or processing environments highly desirable.Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., Pemac/CMMS).Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, fabrication, and machining; PLC experience is an advantage.Proven ability to work cross-functionally and maintain production uptime.DisclaimerBy applying, you are giving consent for Matrix Recruitment to contact you about this job.
