The Purpose of the Role Trinity College Dublin Disability Service is seeking either a new graduate or more experienced Occupational Therapist to support the ongoing dynamic development of the Disability Service (DS) to meet the ever-changing needs of students with disabilities. Applications are welcome from students who will graduate in 2023, and the role will involve various project elements and support of Occupational Therapists in the Service while CORU registration is being processed. The Occupational Therapist will have the opportunity to work within an evidence-based service, delivering the existing occupational therapy and disability supports to the same high standard. This post will function in accordance with the Universitys Strategic Plan in providing support services for students with disabilities. This post will incorporate an appropriate combination of clinical responsibility and experience and will enable the individual to develop professional and personal competencies that will result in good quality service delivery. Clinical Supervision is also a core aspect of the post, with fortnightly individual supervision with the Occupational Therapy Manager and ongoing support from the Occupational Therapy team and other Disability Service Staff. The role-holder will be a key team member that drives the DS agenda in the University. The DS utilises a multi-disciplinary approach and is comprised of an experienced team of individuals who work to support students with disabilities. They include Disability Officers who are Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and an Assistive Technologist, all of whom seek to offer a quality support based on individual need, as identified using a highly developed disability needs assessment process. The DS continues to undergo momentous change and with the development of the in Printing House Square the role requires an individual who can realise the mission, vision, and values in the. The Occupational Therapist will report to the Disability Service Occupational Therapy Manager and is responsible for the delivery of high-quality needs assessments and occupational therapy supports for students with disabilities in Trinity College Dublin and its associated Colleges.
