Link Personnel has been instructed by our client, a leading medical device manufacturer, to hire a Troubleshooting Technician on a 23 month contract. Shifts are day shift, with a requirement for either morning shift (7.00am to 3.30pm) or evening shift (3.00pm to 11.30pm) once every three weeks.

Compensation & Benefits: Up to €55,000, Bonus, Pension, Healthcare, 25 Days Holidays, Shift Allowance, Canteen Facilities, Overtime available at 1.5x or double time
Location: Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland
Responsibilities
* Performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications and methodologies
* Troubleshooting faults down to component level
* Preparing samples, reagents and diluents for chemical testing of systems and modules
* Establishing causes of malfunction and non-conformance in the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and chemical operation of systems with a minimum loss of test time
* Assisting Engineering in the initial validation, installation and verification of new test procedures, equipment and products
* Overseeing and checking any repair work to ensure that the fault is corrected
* Working with other departments to solve ongoing problems
* Assisting Engineering in the design of test fixtures and module inspection/test procedures
* Completing and maintaining all necessary paperwork and test data for each system/module to ensure accurate Quality records
* Working with Quality procedures related to material flow, material handling, processing of defective material, acceptance and rejection procedures, ECN monitoring, concessions etc.
* Aware of safety risks involved in handling dangerous corrosive or infectious materials and adhering to strict safety rules
* Training new personnel
Requirements
* 2 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment
* Experience as a Test Technician in a mechanical or electrical environment is a plus
* Related third level qualification QQI Level 6 and above (qualification should include some level of mechanical or electrical engineering principles)
* SAP experience is a plus
