Sales Hire Controller Location: Drogheda Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent Salary: About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and professional Sales Hire Controller to join our team. This is a critical role within our organisation, contributing directly to the achievement of sales and margin targets while delivering excellent customer service. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, supporting their hire equipment requirements, responding to enquiries, preparing and following up quotations, and providing technical specifications as required. Working collaboratively with both internal and external teams, you will help ensure that each customer receives an efficient and professional service at every stage. Key Responsibilities Provide a high standard of customer support for all hire, sales, and service enquiries Process orders accurately and liaise with operational teams to allocate stock and coordinate transport to maximise service levels Negotiate hire rates and prepare quotations to achieve maximum margin return Work proactively with the external sales team to share opportunities and achieve overall sales, margin, and customer service objectives Plan and prioritise workload effectively to manage conflicting demands Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on the CRM and other company platforms Undertake general administrative duties, including resolving queries and processing payments Engage in continuous professional development through product, company, and customer service training Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential: Proven experience in a high-volume sales and customer service role, ideally within the construction plant, powered access, or small tools hire industry Relevant experience within sectors such as construction, builders merchants, DIY, house and garden supplies, or specialist subcontracting will be considered Strong knowledge of the construction industry and related equipment Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel Leaving Certificate (or equivalent qualification) Desirable Attributes: A collaborative team player with excellent organisational skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards under pressure Creative and proactive in suggesting improvements Fully IT literate and comfortable using CRM systems Committed to promoting health and safety best practices in the workplace For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Erna Tupaz or call Osborne Recruitment.
