GL Accountant Role
The GL Accountant position plays a vital part in the financial operations of an organization. This role involves preparing monthly financial reports, analyzing the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements and analysis of accounting data
* Liaising with external auditors for periodic and year-end review procedures to ensure accuracy and transparency
* Liaising with Tax Specialists and Advisors to guarantee compliance with all external reporting requirements and avoid penalties
* Assisting with requirements for SOX Compliance and Reporting to maintain corporate integrity
* Preparing, analyzing, and posting journals at month end to facilitate timely decision-making
* Preparing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations at month end to detect any discrepancies
Requirements:
* A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical accounting skills and knowledge
* A third-level degree or equivalent in a relevant field
* 2-5 years of experience in a multinational environment, preferably in a similar role
* Familiarity with SAP/Oracle or other major ERP Systems is highly desirable
