Exciting Career Opportunity - BonsConnect Project Location: Open to all BSHS Locations/Hybrid Working ModelFull-time | Fixed Term | 7 monthsRemote working option available with proximity to one of our BSHS sites.We are delighted to announce an opportunity for a Business Analyst - (Blood Sciences) and are now inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.Bon Secours Health System is currently partnered with Meditech to implement Meditech Expanse, an Electronic Health Record across all five BSHS sites by summer 2026.The Business Analyst will work as a core team member within the relevant Clinical working group and will focus on building, configuring, testing, training, documenting and the integrating of the Electronic Health Record.Job Responsibilities:Play an instrumental role in working with assigned user areas in regard to system optimization and project-related work for all Laboratories in BSHS.Attend vendor education sessions as part of the working group and provide forward-thinking innovative solutions, and identify opportunities to add value to the project.Play a key role in the implementation and ongoing development of an electronic medical record.Work closely with members of the Stream Leadership Team and ready Consultants for the specific module/application Gather requirements, develop dictionary standards, develop site-specific and corporate contentRecommend system functionality and accessAssist in the development of appropriate systems, processes and workflows to ensure the movement of information throughout the working Group, which will support the project.Provide Business Analyst support as required (System testing, including high-level validation, functional integration, and parallel testing.)Assist in the development of training materials for use in super-user and end-user training and provide end-user training as required.Candidate Criteria:Qualifications: The Bachelor in Science (Applied Science) Honours degree(Biomedical option) from the University of Dublin or Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin)(ii) The Bachelor in Science Honours degree in Biomedical Science from the Joint University College Cork – Munster Technological University (MTU) course, or(iii) The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences course - Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) or the Munster Technological University (MTU) awarded prior to 1994, or(iv) Possess the Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) or Munster Technological University (MTU) or the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) (awarded prior to 1997), or(v) A recognised qualification at least equivalent to (i) or (ii) aboveb) Membership of, or be eligible for membership of Relevant computer qualificationthe Academy of Medical Laboratory Science (MAMLS) or, prior to 1997, possess or be eligible for associate membership of the Academy of Medical Laboratory Scienc1. Be eligible for membership of the Academy of Medical Laboratory Science. Essential Experience:2 Years experience in a Medical Laboratory post qualification as a Medical Scientist. Working knowledge of IT Systems in a Laboratory environment. Business Analyst experience. Experience of supporting IT Systems. Essential Experience of MEDITECH and in a Healthcare Informatics setting. Desirable Experience of working in a clinical role and with best of breed clinical LIS such as iLab and Sunquest.
