Requirements
1. Registered Nurse with NMBI
o Must be registered in the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
2. Minimum 7 Years of Post-Registration Experience
o Including at least 2 years in a nursing management or leadership role (e.g., CNM2, CNM3, or equivalent).
3. Relevant Management or Leadership Qualification
o A postgraduate qualification in Nursing Management, Leadership, or Healthcare Management is often required or expected to be in progress.
4. Strong Clinical Knowledge & Experience in Acute Hospital Settings
o Ideally with a background in medical, surgical, emergency, or specialist clinical areas.
5. Proven Leadership and Team Management Skills
o Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, lead change, and mentor junior staff.
6. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
o Capable of building effective relationships with patients, staff, senior management, and external agencies.
7. Strong Knowledge of HIQA Standards and Clinical Governance
o Understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, patient safety, and audit processes.
8. Eligibility to Work in Ireland
o Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland (EU passport or relevant visa).
