Head of Sales, Growth & Operations

About the Role
BatchWine.ie is seeking a highly motivated, commercially driven individual to take full ownership of our online wine and corporate gifting business. This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end role where you will be responsible for building, managing and growing BatchWine.ie across all areas — from wine sourcing and product curation to sales, operations, fulfilment and client acquisition. Working closely with the owner of Batch Donegal, you will have the opportunity to shape and scale this arm of the business, bringing your own ideas, experience and commercial instincts within an already established brand.
The website is built and ready to go — now we need the right person to drive it forward and turn it into a significant revenue stream.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Sales Growth

Drive revenue growth across e-commerce and corporate sales channels
Develop and execute a clear sales and growth strategy
Identify, target and secure corporate clients and bulk gifting opportunities
Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business
Nurture long‑term relationships with key clients

Wine Sourcing & Product Curation

Source and select wines aligned with the Batch brand and customer profile
Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing, margins and availability
Build and maintain a compelling, commercially strong product range
Develop seasonal offerings, hampers and curated wine selections

Website & Online Operations

Manage and optimise the BatchWine.ie website
Improve conversion rates and customer experience
Coordinate with marketing on campaigns, launches and promotionsMonitor performance and continuously improve the online journey

Fulfilment, Logistics & Distribution

Oversee order processing, packaging and delivery operations
Ensure a smooth, reliable and high‑quality customer experience
Manage stock levels, forecasting and supplier coordination
Continuously improve operational efficiency and margins

Brand & Customer Experience

Ensure all activity aligns with the Batch brand tone and positioning
Deliver a premium, consistent experience across all customer touchpoints
Contribute ideas to enhance the brand, offering and customer journey

What We’re Looking For
Required

Strong experience in sales, business development or e‑commerce
Ability to work on your own initiative and manage your time effectively
Commercially minded with a track record of driving revenue growth
Experience managing or working with websites / e‑commerce platforms
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple areas of a business

Desirable

Experience in wine, hospitality or premium retail
Experience with corporate sales or gifting
Understanding of logistics, fulfilment or supply chain
