About the Opportunity
You will join a highly skilled team focused on delivering best-in-class CPU performance through rigorous verification and analysis. Working closely with architecture, design, and performance teams, you’ll contribute to optimizing processor behavior across multiple layers of simulation and real‑world workloads.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and execute performance verification strategies for custom CPU designs.
Create targeted test cases to validate new architectural features and enhancements.
Collaborate with design and performance teams to ensure alignment on expected outcomes.
Analyze CPU performance across simulation, emulation, and system‑level environments.
Build and maintain tools for performance analysis and benchmarking.
Run industry‑standard benchmarks and custom workloads under varying conditions.
Investigate performance bottlenecks and propose optimization strategies.
Contribute to architectural understanding across areas such as fetch, decode, execution, memory, and caching.
What You Bring
Strong knowledge of CPU architecture and microarchitecture concepts.
Experience in one or more areas such as branch prediction, pipelines, SIMD, MMU, caches, or execution units.
Familiarity with RISC‑based instruction set architectures and processor subsystems.
Proficiency in Verilog, C, and C++.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
Background working in RTL simulation environments.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to validate and defend technical ideas.
Experience with performance benchmarking tools and workloads.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Several years of industry experience in a relevant domain.
