The Village Kitchen is a Takeaway & Catering Business based in Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. We are looking for someone enthusiastic to join our team.
Experience in Food Service and Tills desirable.
Shifts would be Friday to Sunday days and evenings - please ensure you have full availability before applying.
Role Responsibility
Assisting with the preparation of and serving of food and beverages to customers in an often time fast paced takeaway, whilst ensuring great customer service at all times
Using the till, serving customers and cashing up at the end of service.
Answering the phone for telephone orders, taking online orders and putting these through the till and then preparing them for collection.
Ensuring that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy, assisting with waste removal and washing up throughout the shift.
Food Preparation such as salads, fresh chips, sauces, lunches and general takeaway foods.
Ensuring Health and Safety Regulations are followed at all times.
Completing any administration needed including food temperature records, cleaning schedules and fridge/freezer temperature records.
To raise any issues or customer suggestions and complaints to the Manager and any other tasks that may be needed.
Staff are required to work 1 hour before opening for prep and approx 30 minutes after closing for cleaning and cashing up.
Currently we are closed Monday to Thursday however we are hoping to open more days soon - the expected hours of work right now are Friday 2-9.30pm, Saturday 1-9.30pm and Sunday 1-7.30pm
