The Role
Our new Regional Head of Operations will take full leadership of Sofina Foods’ manufacturing footprint across our high‑performing Irish sites producing for some of the UK and Ireland’s biggest retail and foodservice brands. This is a pivotal role for a results‑driven, commercially astute leader who thrives on scale, complexity, and strategic influence. You’ll drive operational excellence, inspire empowered site teams, and ensure world‑class performance across cost, quality, and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading operational delivery across our Irish manufacturing sites, achieving and exceeding business KPIs
* Overseeing all operational functions; Production, Engineering, Health & Safety, Supply Chain, and Warehousing
* Driving best‑in‑class manufacturing standards and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
* Partnering cross‑functionally with Technical, Finance, HR, and Commercial to deliver growth and resource optimisation
* Leading operational excellence programmes focused on efficiency, OEE, and cost control
* Developing capable, empowered site leadership teams with clear succession and performance focus
* Acting as a key representative for operations with internal stakeholders and major customers
The Ideal Candidate
* A proven senior operations manager or site director, within FMCG manufacturing (5+ years at multi‑site or regional level)
* Experienced across a mix of proteins in both chilled and ambient categories, with deep understanding of retailer standards and manufacturing excellence
* Commercially minded, data‑driven, and confident leading change in complex, fast‑moving environments
* A credible communicator who influences at board level and inspires confidence on site
* A visible, values‑led leader who gets results through people and strategic clarity
