Job Title: Support Care Worker
Cloverlodge Nursing Home, a luxury purpose built nursing home, located in Athy, Co. Kildare is recruiting for Support Care Workers to join their multi-disciplinary team.
About the Role
* Deliver high quality person-centred care to residents via the Named Nurse concept
* SUPPORT RESIDENTS WITH THEIR DAILY LIVES AND NEEDS INCLUDING HYGIENE AND PERSONAL CARE
* PROMOTE THE MOBILITY OF RESIDENTS AND ASSIST AS NECESSARY TO ENSURE OPTIMUM MOBILITY IS MAINTAINED AND IMPROVED WHERE POSSIBLE
* AIDING RESIDENTS IN MEETING THEIR PHYSICAL COMFORT NEEDS WHILE MAINTAINING THEIR DIGNITY AT ALL TIMES
Responsibilities and Duties
1. SUPPORT NURSE STAFF IN DELIVERING HIGH QUALITY CARE TO MEET ALL CARE NEEDS OF RESIDENTS
2. GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF EACH INDIVIDUAL'S INTERESTS, SUPPORT THEM IN THESE AREAS WHENEVER POSSIBLE
3. ENHANCE THE WELL-BEING OF OUR Residents BY CARRY OUT TASK THAT WILL PROMOTE MOBILITY & COMFORT SUCH AS MAKING TEA/Coffee OR GETTING EXTRA BED LINEN etc. ASSIST IN MAINTEINCE OF GOOD STANDARDS IN CLEANLINES THROUGHOUT THE HOME & CONTINUE TO CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL OUR EMPLOYEES.
The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess The Following Skills And Qualifications:
4. FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent required (in progress/completed)
EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS BOTH VERBAL AND WRITTEN REQUIRED POSITIVE ATTITUDE RELIABLE WORK ETHIC&part of good teamwork ABILITIES to meet all resident's needs, varied situation requirement with positive attitude. Also English fluency both spoken and written imperative.
