Job Purpose
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the technological direction of the organisation. The CTO will provide strategic vision, leadership, and management of all technology initiatives to drive innovation, ensure robust IT infrastructure, and support the organisation’s overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the organisation’s technical strategy in alignment with business goals and product vision.
* Lead the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
* Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of all software, hardware, and IT systems.
* Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of technology platforms and infrastructure.
* Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
* Collaborate with other executives and stakeholders to identify and deliver technology solutions that drive business value.
* Manage technology budgets and resource allocation efficiently.
* Establish and enforce technology‑related policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Represent the organisation externally on technology matters, including partnerships and vendor management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
* Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing technology teams and projects.
* Strong expertise in software development and practices, systems architecture, and IT operations.
* Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and data management.
* Experience with ISO27001 and other similar standards.
* Experience in building and scaling multi‑location and time‑zone teams.
* Experience in implementation of KPI’s and dashboard for the engineering group.
* Excellent strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience reporting to and influencing at senior management and board levels.
