THE ROLE
The Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for managing customer accounts, processing incoming payments, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of receivables. This role plays a vital part in maintaining healthy cash flow and positive customer relationships by monitoring balances, following up on overdue invoices, and resolving payment issues.
Reporting to: Financial Operations Controller
Hours: 37hrs per week
Days: 5
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Previous experience in an accounts receivable, billing, or finance administration role.
* Good understanding of accounts receivable processes and basic accounting principles.
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and internal teams.
* High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
* ATI Diploma or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Communicate with customers to resolve payment issues in a professional and courteous manner.
* Generate and issue customer invoices in line with company procedures and contracts.
* Process incoming payments by cash, cheque, direct debit, or electronic transfer accurately and promptly.
* Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues.
* Maintain accurate records of all receivable transactions in the accounting system.
* Support monthly and year-end financial close processes, including revenue reconciliation.
