Process Engineer – Polymer Manufacturing

Our client is a leading plastics manufacturing company supplying high-quality polymer products to multiple industries. They are currently seeking a Process Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Cavan.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a graduate or experienced engineer to gain hands-on experience in a modern polymer manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced engineers and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support monitoring and optimisation of polymer manufacturing processes
2. Assist with process improvements, efficiency projects, and cost-reduction initiatives
3. Provide technical support to production teams and help troubleshoot process issues
4. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
5. Support new product introductions, trials, and equipment commissioning
6. Help develop and maintain process documentation and SOPs
7. Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams
Requirements:
8. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
9. Interest in polymer/plastics manufacturing (industry experience or placement beneficial)
10. Basic understanding of polymer processing methods such as extrusion or injection moulding
11. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
