Full-time Clerical Officer - Business Development - UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic Dublin

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Northern
Ireland and waiting list initiative transfers from NTPF/HSE.
- Booking hotels
- Maintaining data bases
- Booking investigations, Physio and Convalescence
- All relevant patient's letters, finance forms and reports sent to relevant Trusts/NTPF/HSE and GPs.
To
stand in for GP line personnel in absence of GP Liaison.
To
cover for secretaries for annual leave.
Drive
quality in the department and ensure it is compliant to relevant standards.
Maintain
an awareness of the privacy of patients in relation to all activities.
Create
a culture of accountability openness to change; respect for the individual
and teamwork that supports the achievement of our goals.
Create
and promote healthy working relationships.
Demonstrate
behaviour consistent with the values of the clinic.
Communicate
with relatives and visitors of patients as required.
Actively
participate in the Clinic's accreditation programme and the ethos of
continuous quality improvement and implement and maintain procedures in
the department.
Contribute
to the development of an organizational culture which is conducive to the
establishment and maintenance of good staff morale.
Work
closely and liaise with patients, consultant's secretaries, referring GP,
referring physiotherapists, theatre managers, ward managers, Wellness
Staff, Sports Medicine Staff, Physiotherapy Staff, Radiology Staff,
Finance team.
Ensure
that appropriate health and safety and fire and other statutory
regulations are adhered to.
Change
management – drive and facilitate the changes required to meet the needs
of the department.
Ensure
incidents, near misses, involving patients and staff are documented and
reported in accordance with Clinic's procedures and guidelines.
Create
and promote healthy working relationships.
Setting
and monitoring standards.
Contribute
to the development of an organisational culture which is conducive to the
establishment and maintenance of good staff moral.
Development
and implementation of Clinic policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educated to secondary level.
Experience in the acute clinic setting an advantage.
Self-directed and an ability to work
independently.
Self starter with initiative and drive and an
ability to think creatively and laterally.
Focused with ability to multi task in a
pressurised environment.
Diplomatic and tactful with the ability to build
and maintain relationships.
A team player with an open and flexible attitude.
Excellent communication skills – written and
verbal.
Computer literate including use MS suite.
Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.
Be able to identify potential difficulties and
formulate solutions
Goal orientated
Ability to identify and engage in new initiatives
to improve the patient experience.
