Literature Ireland wishes to appoint a full-time Projects and Publications Coordinator with experience in publications and digital media.
The ideal candidate will have a
background in literature and/or foreign languages, a relevant degree, and experience in administrative and editorial work.
Fluent English, strong writing and editing skills,
deep intercultural and linguistic sensitivity, and a passion for Irish books and writing are key skills for the role.
Some familiarity with literary translation and/or the international publishing landscape would be an advantage, as would some experience in event or project management.
A good working knowledge of the Irish language is desirable but not essential.
Our offices are situated on the second floor of a city-centre Georgian building, where we are partners in the Trinity Centre for Literary and Cultural Translation.
The post
will be primarily in-person and desk-based, though some international travel will be required from time to time, i.e. for international book fairs.
The main duties of the role are as follows:
Coordinate and run literature promotion projects and events
Manage the organisation's calendar, meeting schedule, and travel arrangements
Assist the Director with bookings, special projects, and events
Assist in organising Literature Ireland's participation at international book fairs and other showcases
Manage the content and editing of occasional print publications, primarily the
New Writing from Ireland catalogue
Support in creating content for Literature Ireland's website and newsletter
Collect, organise and evaluate data relating to the organisation's activities.

The salary range for this position is €30,000 – €33,000.
