Job Title: Fisheries Management Specialist
About the Role:
* The Fisheries Management Specialist will work collaboratively with a team of experts to protect, manage and conserve Ireland's inland fisheries and sea angling resources.
* This is an outdoors role that requires working in all weather conditions on/near bodies of water.
* The successful candidate will start work in mid to late April 2026 after completing a training programme at the commencement of their contract.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Patrol lakes, rivers, sea, coast and estuaries to check for illegal fishing.
2. Detect and report pollution, take samples and gather information.
3. Inspect commercial Salmon & Sea Trout licence holders.
4. Support team members in stake-outs at night/early morning.

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be flexible regarding work hours, and demonstrate commitment to the job. Garda vetting&� protection staff procedure completion are mandatory conditions prior to taking up employment.
