About the company
Our client is a successful main building contractor with an excellent track record of large-scale projects across Ireland. They are seeking to recruit a Site Manager/Foreman and a Project Manager for a significant construction project in Limerick, expected to last up to a couple of years.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise projects to tight deadlines and high standards, including health and safety compliance.
* Coordinate subcontractors and control project programmes, including preparing look-ahead schedules.
* Prepare progress reports and lead site meetings.
* Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and engineers.
* Manage site setup, security, logistics, deliveries, and traffic.
* Work alongside the Project Manager to adhere to the construction programme, sequencing trades for quality and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with current Health and Safety regulations.
* Liaise with the design team on construction issues and RFIs.
* Issue material requisitions, maintain site logs, and monitor work quality.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 7 years’ site management experience across healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, or large fit-out projects.
* Experience with healthcare projects is a plus.
* Background in engineering or trades considered.
* Proven experience in subcontractor coordination, programme control, and report preparation.
* Full computer literacy and experience with site management software.
* Strong communication skills with clients and design teams.
