Carrig Clinic is seeking a Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join our expanding team in a part-time role, immediate start. We are a friendly and busy GP Practice in Greystones, Co Wicklow. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, organised, and a team player who can remain calm under pressure.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Managing phones, patient bookings, and front desk.
* Processing referrals, prescriptions, and medical documents.
* Communication with hospitals and consultants.
* Processing HSE/GMS and other contract payment claiming.
* Processing charges and daily reconciliation of payments.
* Providing day-to-day assistance to the Practice Manager.
* General office duties such as filing, scanning.
Requirements:
* A minimum of one years' experience in a busy general practice, or similar administrative position.
* Excellent communication and telephone skills, written and verbal.
* Excellent IT skills including proficiency in MS Office.
* Fluency in spoken and written English.
* Experience of medical practice software is desirable (Socrates).
* Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with an ability to work on own initiative.
* Team-oriented attitude and flexibility to cover additional hours/annual leave/sick leave as required.
