PE Global Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer – Electrical to join a leading semi-state funded organisation delivering large-scale residential and commercial renewable energy retrofit programmes across Ireland.

The successful candidate will be based in Cork, supporting projects across the Munster region.
The Role
The QA Electrical Engineer will lead quality assurance activities across electrical installations on residential retrofit projects including solar PV, heat pumps, battery storage, and associated electrical upgrades.
You will play a key role in ensuring installations meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance across contractor delivery partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical quality inspections across retrofit installations.
* Ensure compliance with Irish electrical regulations, technical standards, and specifications.
* Audit contractor installations across multiple sites.
* Review electrical commissioning documentation and certification.
* Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
* Support continuous improvement across contractor networks.
* Work closely with delivery teams and installation partners.
* Maintain QA reporting and compliance documentation.
* Promote best practice in safety, installation quality, and system performance.
Candidate Requirements
* Electrical trade qualification or Electrical Engineering background.
* Strong understanding of:
* Residential electrical systems
* Solar PV installations
* Heat pump electrical integration
* Renewable energy technologies
* Experience in site inspection, supervision, or quality assurance.
* Knowledge of Irish electrical regulations and certification.
* Ability to work across multiple contractors and projects.
* Full driving licence.
