Job Description The successful candidates will have experience across all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics, producing high-quality work in a busy and fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities: Carrying out work as outlined on job cards efficiently and accurately, in line with dealership standards.
Coordinating with the parts and service departments to obtain required parts and ensuring timely updates when parts are awaited or need to be specially ordered.
Diagnosing the cause of any faults and performing necessary repairs once authorized by the Service Manager or Advisor.
Conducting comprehensive vehicle health checks, including video health inspections, to assess for any additional safety or service needs.
Immediately notifying service advisors if extra work is needed, scheduled work is unnecessary, or delays are expected.
Road-testing vehicles to verify the quality of work completed.
Maintaining a clean, organized work area and complying with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Staying current with technical bulletins and attending manufacturer-led training as directed by the Service Manager.
Requirements: Fully qualified technician with a National Craft Certificate or equivalent QQI Level 6.
Experience within a franchised dealership environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of job card documentation and warranty procedures aligned with franchised dealer standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and required work clearly to service advisors or customers.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, dealer systems, and modern automotive electronics.
Full, clean, and valid drivers license.
Self-motivated, quality-driven, and a strong team player.
