Role
We are currently recruiting for a consultant within our growing Fund Accounting department. The consultant will be responsible for reviewing and signing off on NAV calculations, serving as the subject matter expert for fund-specific requirements. They will lead system enhancements, process improvements, and provide feedback from the department to stakeholders. The role may involve individual contribution or managing one or two direct reports. Candidates with prior fund accounting or relevant operational/accounting experience seeking career growth in a leading environment are encouraged to apply.
The role includes coordinating system testing, mentoring team members, representing the team in cross-functional projects, and implementing new procedures in consultation with leadership. The candidate should contribute to long-term departmental strategy and have experience in client presentations and service culture.
Responsibilities also include designing development and training plans, delegating tasks, and providing feedback and recognition to team members.
Skills / Experience
Preferred experience in fund accounting or operational roles, with knowledge of Enterprise and related systems. Familiarity with vendors like Bloomberg or Reuters is advantageous. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and client service skills are essential. Understanding of system interfaces and data flows, along with excellent PC skills, especially in MS Excel, are required. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and organize workload effectively is also important.
