Job Description
We are seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing a clean electric future by planning and developing the distribution network to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
The Power Systems Engineer will be responsible for performing comprehensive assessments of the electrical distribution network to ensure it operates efficiently and reliably. This will involve using industry-standard power flow analysis tools to evaluate the effects of renewable integration, flexible loads, customer demand connections, and reinforcement strategies on network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Power System Evaluation: Perform comprehensive assessments of the electrical distribution network to ensure it operates efficiently and reliably.
* Customer Connection Handling: Manage the end-to-end processing of grid connection requests in accordance with relevant guidelines and internal procedures.
* Project Leadership: Take the lead on innovative planning and infrastructure development projects, overseeing all stages from early concept and feasibility through to successful delivery and implementation.
* Technical Documentation: Develop key documentation to support capital investment proposals, including detailed studies, financial evaluations, and technical approval submissions.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including private customers, developers, government planning bodies, local authorities, and interest groups.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* A minimum of 2 to 5 years' work experience in engineering area.
* Strong technical capability with proven track record of delivery to a high standard.
* Excellent communication and report writing skills.
* Strong analytical decision-making skills with an innovative approach to problem solving.
* Full clean driving license.
* Proficiency in using power system analysis software (e.g., Synergi, PSS Sincal, etc.) is desirable.
* Prior work experience in any of the below fields will be an advantage: System Planning and Grid Connection Studies, Transmission and Distribution System Master Plans, Power Quality Measurements and Studies, Development of Policies and Standards for Electricity Distribution System Planning.
