ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT/FINANCE ANALYST

Primeline Logistics is a leading name in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and logistics, and we're

growing. We're now looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team and play a

hands-on role in supporting the financial performance of a fast-moving, high-volume operation.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, wants exposure to end-to-end

accounting processes, and is keen to progress their career within a commercially focused finance function.

This role is based in Ashbourne, Co. Meath and operates on a hybrid working model, combining on-site

collaboration with remote working.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Working closely with the Commercial Finance Manager and wider Finance team, you'll be involved in a

broad range of accounting and reporting activities, including:

Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts

Completing balance sheet and stock reconciliations

Raising weekly and monthly invoices, along with ad-hoc billing

Preparing and posting accruals and journals, including logistics and inter-departmental journals

Managing intercompany transactions

Assisting with deferred and accrued revenue

Producing ad-hoc financial reports for management and key business partners

Liaising regularly with internal stakeholders across the business

Supporting the audit process

Getting involved in continuous improvement and other ad-hoc finance projects as required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

At least 3-5 years' experience in a busy practice or within an FMCG / retail / logistics environment

in an Accounts Assistant (or similar) role

Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

Comfortable working with large volumes of data in a fast-paced setting

Strong verbal and written communication skills

A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to use initiative and take ownership

Able to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure

A collaborative team player

Qualifications & Systems

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (preferred)

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas; macros an advantage)

Experience with D365 is an advantage but not essential

Actively pursuing, or keen to pursue, a professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA),

or part-qualified a strong advantage
