Role And Responsibilities
Work closely with and report to Project Manager and Senior Management on Civils projects.
Take responsibility for managing day-to-day activities on-site throughout the project lifecycle, leading the Project Team to ensure the successful delivery of the project on time and within budget.
Check and understand all drawings and specifications. Ensure that any errors or omissions are formally communicated to the design team in a timely manner.
Monitor construction quality regarding workmanship and materials, recording this on the Bretland document control system.
Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and good building practices.
Assist with managing all aspects of Health & Safety and Quality on site, ensuring compliance with the Company’s Quality and Safety Management Systems, including management of subcontractors, plant operators’ tickets, safe passes, and machinery certificates.
Manage subcontractors on site.
Responsible for completing and issuing daily/weekly project reports regarding progress updates on programme and subcontractors.
Liaise with Client/Design Teams as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
10 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in delivering logistically challenging Civils projects.
Full Irish Driving Licence.
Certifications such as Safe Pass & Manual Handling; additional certifications like SLG, LUGS, MSIC are beneficial.
Experience in Traffic & Pedestrian Management is advantageous but not essential.
Good IT skills and computer literacy, proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
Ability to coordinate multiple varied projects.
Preferably based in the north Leinster / Midlands region.
