Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Social Pedagogue based in Tralee. The Social Pedagogue will work directly with children and adolescents in residential care, supporting their emotional, social, and educational development. Responsibilities include creating individualized care plans, implementing therapeutic interventions, organizing activities that address developmental needs, and fostering a nurturing and structured environment. Collaboration with families, social workers, educators, and other professionals is integral to ensure holistic and positive outcomes for the young people served.
Qualifications
* Experience in child and youth care, social pedagogy, or related fields
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals
* Skills in creating and executing individualized care and education plans
* Familiarity with therapeutic interventions and a child-centered, trauma-informed approach
* Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities
* Commitment to working collaboratively and fostering a supportive environment
* Formal qualifications in social pedagogy, social care, or a related discipline are required
* Experience in a residential care or fostering environment is a strong advantage
