Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to join our Dublin based client. The ideal candidate will have exceptional experience in freight forwarding and the FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service in the Transport and Warehouse Team.
* Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
* Arrange and plan out warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments. Resolve any arising problems or complaints. Supervise, coach and train the team. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets. Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
* Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
* Continuously look for improvements to operations while working proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations.
Essential: Demonstrated Experience with;
* At least 5 years of proven working experience as a logistics or operations manager.
* Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
* Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
* Proficient in standard logistics software.
* Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain.
* Strong communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholder expectations.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Ability to make decisions under pressure.
* Good commercial and business understanding.
* Working knowledge of ERP systems.
* Licensed to drive.
* Experience working in a multicultural environment.
* Familiar with workplace safety and environmental factors.
