Job Description
IPS is a pioneer in the application of single-source, integrated EPCMV for technically complex facilities. We have developed, implemented, and refined a lean integrated project delivery model that addresses the entire project life cycle. We are looking for a talented Project Planner / Scheduler II to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.
In this role, you will develop, monitor, and update project plans and schedules encompassing the entire engineering, procurement, construction, and qualification (EPCMV) lifecycle. You will facilitate and participate in project scheduling meetings as well as pull, phase, takt, and interactive planning sessions to develop, refine, and progress project plans.
Responsibilities include:
1. Analyzing schedule inputs from project partners including clients, internal teams, vendors, and contractors to verify schedule durations and integrity, and to evaluate logic and float paths.
2. Integrating data into an overall master schedule.
3. Ensuring the credibility of the information in the master schedule and making recommendations to manage float and (re)sequence activities to meet project milestones and target dates.
4. Collaborating with estimating and cost control teams to resource and cost load schedules, and supporting constructability and value engineering.
5. Evaluating schedule risks and performing analyses such as Monte Carlo simulations, and baseline schedules with documented basis for approval.
6. Monitoring schedule progress, deviations, and variances, assessing impacts on critical and near-critical path activities, and developing corrective actions.
7. Performing site walks to verify physical progress and analyzing change orders for schedule impacts.
8. Preparing schedule progress reports, trend charts, and analyses, maintaining records of scope changes, trends, and variances affecting schedule performance.
9. Developing and recording historical schedule information and lessons learned at project completion.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. BS degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or applicable experience.
2. 10+ years of experience as a planner/scheduler on facilities capital projects.
3. Knowledge of EPCMV processes, especially in Pharma/Biotech industries.
4. Understanding of engineering, construction methodologies, and technical documentation.
5. Proficiency in earned value, SPI, CPI, and other schedule performance metrics.
6. Expertise in planning and scheduling tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, and Office Suite.
7. Strong analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of vPlanner, BIM 360, and other collaborative planning tools.
2. PMI or AACEI certification.
3. Entrepreneurial spirit and continuous improvement mindset.
