**Job Title:** Enforcement Officer
Enforcement Officers are required to support the Environmental Health team within the Sustainability department. The role involves enforcing legislation related to various aspects, including dog licensing and control, litter, graffiti, and fly-tipping.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Enforce legislation related to:
o Dog licensing and control
o Litter, graffiti, and fly-tipping
o Tobacco control
o Abandoned vehicles
o Animal welfare
* Issue fixed penalty notices and prepare case files
* Handle public enquiries and complaints
* Conduct patrols and community education activities
* Support legal proceedings and attend court when required
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English, or equivalent experience. Experience in enforcement, public engagement, or report preparation is also essential. Additionally, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are required.
**Benefits:**
The role offers a competitive salary of £16.37 per hour, with an additional 10% flexibility allowance. A full UK driving licence or suitable alternative due to disability is also required. Flexible working hours, including weekends and shift work, are necessary for this position.
