Working closely with the Vice President, Head of Global Commercial Communications this role will develop, execute and manage communications to support business priorities across the Global Commercial Organization. The role is responsible to drive the development and implementation of proactive communications and reputation building strategies aligned with commercial business objectives. The Manager of Global Commercial Communications will build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, leverage best practices, and apply learnings at an enterprise level. Additionally, this role is accountable for the development and implementation of toolits to support the International Communications Network for key areas of focus and providing select hands-on communications support to the Dublin-based Zoetis office. The ideal candidate has broad communications experience with strong writing and editorial skills across traditional and social media, the ability to discern complex subjects, interact with senior leaders and prioritize multiple projects and manage expectations to meet the demands of the business. The Manager, Strategic Communications reports to the Vice President, Head of Global Commercial Communications and through the Corporate Affairs function. The Manager, Global Commercial Communications will possess a combination of strategic thinking, project management, excellent written and verbal communications skills and have experience working in a Corporate Communications setting with teams across geographies and cultures. The following traits will lead to success in this role: Highly organized, innovative and results-driven Colllaborative work style Problem solver who anticipates the unexpected and adapts quickly Positive, can-do attitude and curiosity about business, communication and animal health Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy Acts with integrity, candor and a sense of ownership for the business POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and implements communications toolkits for in-country implementation to align with strategic priorities and build and maintain Zoetis reputation Creates compelling measureable content for internal and external audiences, incl. press releases, presentations, newsletters, and digital assets, Serves as communications counselor and representative to the Commercial Center of Excellence Supports communications needs for Dublin office e.g., town halls, video/photography requests, etc. Demonstrates knowledge of external market dynamics and forces that impact brands and therapuetic categories Builds cross-funcational relationships across the organization Contributes to Zoetis internal channels to provide timely information and access to key resources; manages Global Commercial Community and Yammer channels Ensures alignment with external communications teams on media and industry relations, digital and investor relations on all external programs and business issues Maintains knowledge of communications best practices and adopt for use when appropriate Works with Commercial Communication team on organizational announcements and talking points - as needed basis Assists Commercial Operations Communications leadership with reactive communications and monitoring on as needed basis Lead and contributes to ad hoc projects e.g., local industry meetings, enterprise initiatives ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Corporate Affairs International Communications Network Teams based in the Dublin Cherrywood office Global Technical Services/A/V Commercial Leadership roles International Commercial Center of Excellence team Communications agencies RESOURCES MANAGED Financial Accountability This role assumes financial accountability and management of resources as determined by the Commercial Communication team. Supervision N/A EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BA/BS in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or similar field 5+ years of professional experience with 3+ years writing experience in corporate communications or social media Experience in the planning, development and execution of corporate communications and media relations activities Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to talor content to diverse audiences Expertise in with digital communications tools and platforms, incl. social media and content mangemet systems Proficient in measuring, analyzing and reporting media performance Skilled in project management, driving initiatives from start to finish Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Skilled at multi-tasking and managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Understands and values benchmarking and staying abreast of the latest trends and best practices Proven vendor management, negotiation and relationship skills Ability and discretion to handle highly sensitive and confidential information Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in a global, diverse team environment TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Animal health (petcare or animal agriculture) or pharmaceutical experience a plus. Five years of professional experience and demonstrated skills in developing, managing and delivering internal and external brand communication strategies Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent content development and editorial planning skills Ability to work effectively across functions and levels Ability to synthesize complex and technical information and convert it into clear and concise messages that customers can understand Experience with communication production including digital, presentations, events, video Able to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects at once, and maintain professionalism under pressure A drive for results and ability to achieve results through cross-functional teams, leveraging organization resources and exerting influence without direct authority Self-starter, able to work independently Strong analytical, planning, attention to detail and prioritizing skills Excellent networking and relationship-building skills and the ability to interact with confidence with various levels and functions Partner and agency relationship management experience PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Role will be based in International Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland., with flexible working policy.
