Social Care Worker/Autism Practitioner – North Dublin Community Support Team
Location: North Dublin Community Support Team – Day Roster, Monday–Sunday.
Contract: Permanent, Full-time, 1.00 WTE.
Salary: €37,096 – €53,674 per annum. Includes a 2% increase from 1 April 2026, plus premium payments.

About the Role
We are currently looking to hire a Social Care Worker/Autism Practitioner for our Community Support Services in North Dublin. This is a Monday to Sunday, day roster. Staff must be proactive, imaginative, and capable of working independently, with excellent report‑writing skills and the ability to support individuals with sensory differences. You will promote the wellbeing of all those supported, ensuring a high quality of life under HIQA guidelines and standards. Practitioners are expected to produce, implement, and evaluate resources and strategies supporting communication and thinking for persons with autism, as well as maintain comprehensive understanding of working files, support plans, and tools. Your role will maximise the opportunities for supported individuals to live reflective of their values, emphasizing dignity, autonomy, and privacy.
The Community Support Team (CST) focuses on building trusting, non‑judgmental relationships, working in partnership to promote autonomy and agency. Services are delivered at the individual’s residence or in the community, with co‑production methodologies employed to develop sustainable support. A core aspect of the CST model is nurturing meaningful connections and enhancing belonging, supporting active citizenship, embracing diversity, and promoting neuro‑inclusive opportunities aligned to each person’s will and preference.
A full, clean driving licence is required for this position.
Essential Qualifications
Level 7 qualification in Social Care/Studies from an accredited institution, OR
A recognised qualification equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award (NARIC), OR
Relevant third-level degree in social work, psychology, or allied health, OR
Post‑graduate qualification in Autism Studies.
Excellent communication and engagement skills.
At least one year of recent experience in a similar role.
Ability to promote independence in individuals with support needs.
A full, clean driving licence.
A thorough understanding of HIQA regulations.
Experience supporting individuals with ASD and knowledge of autism.
Experience in case management.
Eligibility for CORU Registration.
