Role
We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to work on-site with one of our clients — a global leader in developing and manufacturing biologic medicines, supporting both pharmaceutical and biotech companies from early research to large-scale commercial production.
This is a full-time, on-site role, Monday to Friday, for 6 months, based in Dundalk.
Requirements
* 3–4 years of hands-on IT support experience (L1/L2 environment)
* Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with common enterprise tools
* Experience supporting hardware, printers, and mobile devices
* Basic understanding of networking concepts
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
* Experience in a pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry is a strong plus
* Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
* Experience with device-management tools (Intune, SCCM)
Key Responsibilities
* Provide L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and account/permission issues
* Configure, install, and maintain end-user devices and standard applications
* Manage tickets, document resolutions, and meet SLA requirements
* Maintain asset inventory and ensure device compliance
* Follow company security, compliance, and change-management procedures
* (If pharma environment): Work according to GxP guidelines and follow required validation/documentation standards
