Technical Specialist: Injection Moulding Machines
We are seeking a skilled and experienced technical specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of injection moulding machines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Carrying out installation, maintenance, and servicing of machinery and associated equipment;
* Specializing in electrical maintenance and system diagnostics for injection moulding machines;
* Performing machine fit-outs, including necessary electrical and mechanical modifications;
* Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical and electromechanical faults on-site in collaboration with customers and machine manufacturers;
* Conducting machine calibrations per customer maintenance schedules;
* Carrying out equipment health checks and generating detailed condition reports;
* Coordinating with the scheduling team to efficiently manage workload and ensure necessary resources are available;
* Engaging with customers both remotely and on-site to understand their specific needs and provide technical guidance;
* Assisting in specifying and procuring electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components;
* Preparing and approving necessary documentation and reports upon job completion;
* Maintaining strict adherence to all relevant electrical and industrial safety standards, as well as customer safety requirements.
Requirements:
* Minimum Level 6 qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering;
* At least 3 Years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, specializing in the maintenance and troubleshooting of plastics machinery;
* Strong ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical schematics;
* Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including expertise in root cause analysis;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
* Sound understanding of industrial safety protocols;
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with personnel at all levels of the business and with customers.
