OverviewAutomation Engineer – Charles River Development, Officer. This role is part of CRD Engineering and involves building out the next generation of software test automation infrastructure as part of the Quality Assurance Infrastructure team. The incumbent will develop, deliver and support the software infrastructure that enables automated product validation and central automated regression runs for all product departments. The position also involves maintaining and expanding testing labs and assisting with staging and certification during ship-stage of a release. Hybrid work model (3 days in office per week) in Krakow or Gdansk, Poland.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Scrum team (scrum master, product owner, architect, business analysts, product specialists, developers) to carry out software quality responsibilities.Create comprehensive test automation scripts from business requirements and functional specifications for features of moderate complexity.Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.Provide testing leadership by identifying opportunities for QA process improvements, and explore new automation approaches, including the use of Artificial Intelligence.Adhere to a testing schedule to support efficient and effective product delivery.Participate in the agile software development process, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives as part of CRD Scrum methodology.Participate in testathon activities as required by releases.QualificationsB.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field.
