Description
Role: People & Culture Manager
Hours: 39 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Overall Purpose of the Post:
The People & Culture Manager will oversee strategic and operational aspects of the department within ChildVision, including recruitment, employee relations, talent development, budgets, payroll, performance management, learning & development, and policy development. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you will advise the Senior Leadership Team and contribute to strategic and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic and operational advice to senior management on People & Culture matters.
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance performance across the organization.
* Lead the P&C function, managing daily operations and change initiatives.
* Establish and maintain policies promoting fairness, compliance, and consistency.
* Foster positive employee relations and engagement.
* Lead on health and safety compliance across all locations.
* Drive internal HR communications for transparency.
* Guide senior management on staffing and employment issues.
Key Tasks:
* Manage operational activities, including recruitment, payroll, performance management, and employee relations.
* Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and best practices.
* Lead and support the P&C team, promoting effectiveness.
* Advise on P&C issues and contribute to strategic decisions.
* Develop policies aligned with ChildVision's values and objectives.
* Maintain fairness and integrity in disciplinary and grievance procedures.
* Promote a collaborative and innovative workplace environment.
* Engage with external stakeholders, including HSE, on sectoral matters.
The role may include additional tasks as necessary.

* Demonstrate proficiency in HR functions and sector knowledge.

* Hold a Bachelor's degree in HR or a relevant discipline (NFQ Level 8).
* Minimum three years' post-qualification HR management experience.
* Associate CIPD membership preferred.
* Experience in unionized environments and industrial relations.
* Strong communication, strategic, and analytical skills.
Terms & Conditions:
Reporting to: Director of People & Culture
A 6-month probation applies with three review meetings.
Annual leave: 30 days pro-rata.
Pension: Employer contribution of 7% available.
Garda/Police Clearance: Required for work involving children or vulnerable persons, including previous residencies outside Ireland of 6+ months.
Salary: €55,849 - €72,602, based on experience.
