Technical Leadership Role
In this key position, you will spearhead the development of innovative solutions for Orthopaedic and Trauma applications. You will lead technical execution across cross-functional teams through the product development process. Your oversight will also extend to adjacent project efforts, with ownership of technical aspects across the program pipeline.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Independently design and implement complex concepts and systems including architectural design, relevant documentation, test planning and execution
* Specialize in technology domains and evaluate new technologies
* Support designs and select platform technologies
* Work with surgeon customers in a user setting, communicate design goals and incorporate feedback into designs
* Maintain compliance with requirements in cooperation with engineering disciplines, QA/RA/AO, etc.
* Maintain and improve engineering methods and practices
* Train and mentor on established best practices, design principles, processes and tools
* Determine project schedules and time commitments with core team members and communicate status to project management
* Analyze problems holistically
* Design and implement solutions to address identified problems
* Implement state-of-the-art technologies
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in science, with Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred. A Master's Degree in a technical discipline is also desirable. Industry experience of at least 2 years is required, as well as product design experience in Orthopaedics in the medical device industry or related Engineering/Manufacturing industry experience.
