The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a successful contractor that is continually growing and has a wealth of experience.
The client is seeking a Plant/Operations Manager that has knowledge and experience managing a team and Heavy Plant and Machinery.
Plant/Operations Manager Responsibilities: Report to the Senior Management Team Overseeing the management and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.
Ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
Managing procurement, logistics, and resource allocation for construction projects.
Coordinating with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize workflow.
Implementing cost control measures and budget management strategies.
Monitoring performance metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate the Plant Office and Workshop Liaise with Site teams regarding requirements Coordinate the delivery and installation of Plant, Machinery and Equipment Ensure all Plant, Machinery and Equipment is tracked and managed effectively Complete any light maintenance if necessary and ensure upkeep of plant and equipment Identify parts and replacement equipment and source quotes Ensure the plant department operates to the highest standards Create, monitor and maintain maintenance schedules Ensure that all plant and equipment and stock items are issued to sites as required.
Establish and manage budgets and targets for assigned areas of responsibility Attend Senior Management meetings when appropriate Plant/Operations Manager Specification: Plant Management Background5 years or more experience in a similar role Highly organised and motivated Experience with Plant and Machinery Able to use Microsoft Office Strong technical and diagnostic ability Driven and motivated Full driving licence This client appreciates the value of hard work, professional working practices and high standards and in return can offer an excellent overall package to the right person.
