39 hours/week (Monday–Friday), with occasional evening/weekend overtime
Salary:
€920 per week + paid overtime
We are seeking an engineer to support a major outage project at a large power generation facility in Wexford. This is a fully on-site role requiring strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support senior engineering staff with tasks such as:
* Conducting field surveys of existing pipework and pipe supports
* Supporting supervision of mechanical upgrade works during the outage
* Attending technical meetings and documenting progress and queries
* Compiling technical documentation related to piping materials, control valves, safety relief valves, gaskets and pipe supports
* Performing walkdowns and marking up mechanical drawings and schematics
* Witnessing testing of high-pressure piping, pumps and control components
Minimum Requirements
* Level 8 degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred; Electrical, Civil or Energy also acceptable)
* Minimum of 12 months post-graduation experience in a technical environment (industry, construction, consultancy, etc.)
* Competence in AutoCAD (essential)
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills
* Strong written and spoken English
* Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial site environment
Additional Details
* As the location is remote, daily commuting is not practical. Candidates must arrange accommodation near the power station for the duration of the project.
* Candidates must have (or be eligible to obtain): Irish residency permission, PPS Number, and an Irish bank account.
* Full-time presence on site is required for the full duration of the contract.
