About The Role:
This role provides strategic and operational support to the EU Head of Compliance & AML in the effective oversight and continuous enhancement of the EU Compliance function. It plays a critical role in ensuring the organisation maintains robust regulatory adherence, upholds strong governance standards, and implements effective anti-money laundering frameworks and controls across all business activities.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
* Assist the EU Head of Compliance & AML in day-to-day tasks supporting the EU Compliance function
* Execution of the quality assurance and compliance monitoring plan
* Monitoring of alerts via our ticketing system, Zendesk and queries from other service lines and providing compliance-related input where necessary
* Responding to external requests from partners and law enforcement agencies
* Preparing and submitting STRs
* Preparation of reports pertaining to Compliance matters for the EU business
* Drafting, review and update of relevant policies and procedures
* Developing and maintaining QA oversight and testing
* Familiarity with transaction monitoring, screening, and FinCrime controls
* Working with colleagues across the Paysend group
* Liaise and support the first line of defence as a second line subject matter expert
What You'll Need To Be Successful In This Role:
* Experience in a compliance or AML-based role within the financial services industry
* Payment industry experience would be a bonus, but is not a prerequisite for the role
* Familiarity with the local compliance laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions
* Strong attention to detail
* Analytically minded
* Willingness to develop in the area of Compliance and AML
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and be in a position to meet deadlines
* Collaborative
* Capable of working autonomously or within a team environment
* Comfortable liaising with and presenting to senior stakeholders from across the business where necessary.
* Ability to multitask.
