About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for performing calibration functions on manufacturing, testing and measuring equipment. The position impacts upon the accuracy of the company's measurement and process equipment and subsequent product quality. You will ensure compliance with quality systems requirements and other regulatory requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Calibration Services: Perform calibration and adjustment procedures on various measurement instruments used to measure pressure, temperature, humidity, flow, mass, and other devices.
2. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of calibration activities, including calibration certificates, calibration procedures, test results, and equipment history.
3. Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with measurement equipment, both mechanical and electronic, and implement corrective actions to ensure proper functionality.
4. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to ensure that calibrated instruments meet established specifications and standards.
5. Testing and Validation: Perform testing and validation of new equipment and instruments to ensure they meet required standards before being put into service.
6. Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to address calibration-related issues and provide technical support.
7. Calibration Standards: Stay current with industry trends, calibration standards, and technological advancements.
8. Training: Provide training to users on proper handling and care of calibrated equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
* A relevant third level qualification in Engineering/Science.
* Minimum 5 years experience in a calibration/metrology role in the medical/pharmaceutical industry.
* Experience with a wide array of instruments and Metrology standards desirable.
* Understanding of measurement uncertainty and 4:1 ratio.
