Job Description:
We are recruiting for a Senior Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Manager to join our Taste team at Kerry! Taste within Kerry is the ultimate enabler of our Sustainable Nutrition strategy, focusing on areas such as Sugar & Salt reduction, Savoury, Sweet, and Dairy tastes, contributing to sustainable nutrition for our customers.
The successful candidate will demonstrate Kerry's leadership competencies by being customer-focused and building strong relationships to deliver customer-centric solutions. You should have a strategic mindset, identify future opportunities, and work with peers to develop strategies and make evidence-based regulatory decisions for the taste market in Europe, often working in grey areas to make insightful business decisions.
As a people leader, you will drive the vision and purpose of the function within your team and with stakeholders, using your influencing skills to pursue meaningful goals and create a shared vision. Lead by example and demonstrate commitment to the purpose and vision.
What will I be doing?
* Driving results and ensuring accountability within your team, supporting cross-functional collaboration to meet shared objectives.
* Developing internal talent and aligning career development with business goals, fostering a high-performing team with diverse skills.
* Demonstrating self-awareness through feedback and reflection to understand personal strengths and weaknesses.
* Encouraging your team to proactively engage with Taste customers and the wider business, leveraging Scientific affairs expertise and flavour compliance knowledge to differentiate Kerry in the marketplace.
* Building a team of Taste subject matter experts on legislative and regulatory knowledge, collaborating across Food, Meat, Meat alternatives, Beverage, and Foundational technologies.
* Representing Kerry Taste & Nutrition at relevant regulatory bodies and trade associations to ensure an external voice.
* Building cross-functional relationships with regional Business units and connecting with global peers to improve processes.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Collaborating with Commercial, R&D, Quality, and Marketing to drive the Regulatory and Scientific Affairs agenda.
* Implementing customer segmentation strategies for the region.
* Maintaining communication with stakeholders about regulatory landscape changes impacting the business.
* Developing processes and tools for knowledge sharing with regional stakeholders.
* Ensuring strategies to enhance Regulatory and Scientific Affairs services are implemented.
* Monitoring KPIs to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
* Partnering with global Taste networks for knowledge sharing and horizon scanning activities.

What do I need to be successful?

Key requirements include:
* Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field (or equivalent experience)
* Senior taste/flavour regulatory management experience
* Extensive knowledge of the food and beverage industry, preferably within a flavor house or Taste technologies
* Experience with senior leadership exposure
* Knowledge of Trade Associations
* EU Regulations experience or knowledge
