The HR Business Partner provides consulting and coaching to departmental leaders and managers to support the business’s vision, mission and overall objectives. Additionally, your work will span the full employee lifecycle—from labor relations to performance management and organizational design.Key ResponsibilitiesChange Agent:Manage culture forward at the pace desired by managementFacilitate feedback and driving process improvements with a focus on lean methodologiesContinuous improvement through learning, training & developmentProactively anticipate and address HR-related risks and opportunitiesEnsure leadership understands their role in achieving organizational goals by effectively communicating strategic directionAct as business unit liaison to other departments in the organization: Learning & Leadership Development, Recruiting, and MarketingAct as compensation consultant to senior managers and administrator of compensation changesEmployee Relations:Address labor relations matters, mediate workplace issues, and maintain strong relationships with trade professionalsAdvise leadership on correction action (progressive discipline) for employee misconduct or performance issuesPartner with the broader HR and Recruiting teams to identify needs and utilize resources to meet business needsOffer guidance on division restructures, workforce planning, and succession planningTraining Oversight:Design and implement training and development programs in coordination with corporate initiativesManagement Training & Professional Staff DevelopmentIT Skills TrainingCoach, educate, and advise management on HR policies, procedures, compensation and benefits, employee discipline, and employment lawsLead special projects related to organizational goals and strategiesBecome certified in appropriate learning systems and deliver training modules to targeted groupsQualificationsExperience: 5–10 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within the AEC industry or related professional servicesEducation: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related fieldCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsIntegrity: Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentialityAdaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projectsExpertise: Working knowledge of compensation practices, organizational risk analysis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment lawsCompensation: In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.Benefits: Company-provided benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA/HSFSA, 401(k) with employer match, life/AD&D, disability, injury protection, insurance, paid time off, holidays, legal, stock purchase plan, and other programs subject to eligibility requirements.Disclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
